Abstract

The master thesis focuses on the design of new storage areas in the company. The aim of this thesis was to analyse the existing warehouse, based on which new layouts of the warehouse space will be designed. The thesis contains a theoretical part that focuses on the basic concepts that can be encountered in the practical part. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of the current state of the company, focusing mainly on the warehouse space. This analysis includes the way the handling units are stored in the existing warehouse and its evaluation, based on which layout designs for the new warehouse was developed. These designs are intended to give the company a better overview of the location of materials and to make material handling more efficient. The design of the new warehouse also includes the concept of a new warehouse office.
