Abstract
This bachelor thesis aims to describe the current situation on the pistol ammunition market. The introduction describes an operation and function of the pistol ammunition. Next part is an overview of basic types of available cartridges and thier classification. There are ballistic characteristics for every single cartridge type in the calculation section. The entire work is mainly focused on environmental requirements associated with lead-free pistol ammunition and to design criteria for quantitative evaluation of the ammunition.
