Abstract
This master's thesis deals with modeling the stress-strain behavior of investigated weld metals in VVER-type nuclear power plants. Previously, samples of the investigated weld metals were subjected to deformation-controlled low-cycle fatigue testing. In this thesis, a suitable material model was calibrated based on experimental data. A script was created in the Spyder software environment using the Python language for the calibration of the chosen material model. The calibrated parameters were used for simulation using the finite element method. The simulation was performed using Ansys APDL 2022 R2 software. The results of this work can be used to predict the response of weld metals in nuclear power plants to cyclic loading.
