Abstract
The diploma master deals with the evaluation of cutting forces, roughness parameters of the machined surface and the shape of the chip. The introductory part of the master is focused on the description of technology and its advantages or disadvantages. The second part deals with the preparation of the experiment, a description of the machine, tools and tested VBD. The third part of the diploma thesis deals with the experiment itself. It contains the decomposition of cutting forces and their interaction when machining both 316L stainless steel and C45 carbon steel. The last part of the diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the roughness parameters of the machined surface, individual VBD wear and chip shape. All data are finally placed in a clear table and individual cutting parameters for the tested VBD were recommended.
