Abstract

This thesis deals with the issues of very high-speed railway transport and regional air transport and their mutual competition. Thesis has three main parts. The first part deals with very high-speed railway transport and regional air transport in Europe. In the second part I deal with multi – criteria decision making on the theoretical level. In the third part I choose the best aircraft for regional flights and the best very high-speed train in Europe. Then I compare selected transport connections, which serve the best traffic vehicle I have previously chosen. I will use multi – criteria decision – making methods for these tasks.
