Studie vlivu alternativního paliva na produkci emisí ze zážehového spalovacího motoru

Abstract

The master’s thesis deals with the influence of alternative fuel components on the production of emissions from a spark-ignition internal combustion engine. The main fuel components examined in this thesis are bioethanol and ETBE. The theoretical part describes the operating principle of a spark-ignition internal combustion engine, the formation of emission components, and the basic properties of alternative fuels suitable for internal combustion engines. It also describes the production, use, advantages, disadvantages, and properties of bioethanol and ETBE. The experimental part focuses on emission measurements during the combustion of reference gasoline and gasoline blends with bioethanol and ETBE in different volume ratios. Based on the measured concentrations of selected emission components, the influence of individual fuel blends on the emission behaviour of the engine is evaluated and their suitability in terms of emission production is assessed.
