Abstract

This doctoral thesis deals with the active control of instability of the rotors stored in journal bearings with the use of piezo actuators. This instability is described as the instability type of whirl. When this instability is active, the rotor, which is stored in journal bearing, is not rotating only around its axis, but also around axis of the bearing housing. The compensation of instability of journal bearing is realized by moving the bearing bushing through the piezo actuators. This work describes the laboratory device made for testing and for possibility of control of instability with the use of piezo actuators. This work deals further with description of piezo actuators and theirs verification of characteristics. For the simulations were created the simulation model of instability type of whirl and the simulation model of piezo actuators which they form together the simulation model of compensation of instability with the use of piezo actutators.
