Ph.D. This thesis deals with renovation and sectional repair of air-cooled eight-cylinder T603 engine. The main points covered are as follows: The introduction aims at the objectives and reasons for the subject selection. The second part describes Tatra 805 automobiles and their engines. The following chapter analyses the current status and potencial utilization of this engine‘s components including faults description and parts dimensions. Further on the process of renovation is dealt with in detail (what and how to renovate), taking into account the financial aspects of renovation. The final part lists recommendations related to the engine running -up and analyses operational modes.
