Abstract
The diploma thesis deals with the design of torque transmission using a cardan shaft for a Formula Student car. The aim of the thesis is to create a functional structure for torque transmission with implementation on a Formula Student racing car. The designed structure must meet the FSG 2025 rules, which are the generally accepted rules of the Formula Student competition. Furthermore, the structure needs to achieve a higher component life than the current torque transmission system, which is implemented using a chain transmission. This thesis focuses in detail on the design of individual parts and their location on the racing car.
