Abstract
This bachelor thesis is aimed on the issue area navigation using free route airspace. In the beginning, the basics of air navigation and navigation equipment are described. The next part deals with the general issues of area navigation and its current use in the world. The remaining part is focused on the economic and ecological benefits of free route airspace and evaluation of the conditions for implementation in the Czech Republic.
