Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with the stress analysis of a four onfloor mining cage, which is being used in a regular service. The computer model was tested by two methods – analytically and numerically. The first method, the analytical one, checked the entire structure as a frame construction. The second method examined the construction by FEM analysis (finite element method). The numerical model was prepared in MSC Patran software and the solution executed in MSC Nastran software. The conclusion includes a comparison of both these methods, their differences, and upon this result an additional modification was designed.
