Abstract
The thesis deals with the study of surface changes the contact surface air cooled brake disc before and after the treatment. A disc without any treatment has a main flow of cool air fed via line into the center of the disc and passes through the radial passages and the heated air is blown into the space. The brake disc with adjusting GCS (G-Cooling system) improves the cooling, which is double the passage of air through the body drilled brake disc.
Adjusting the brake disc, it is primarily designed for racing machines Formula One. This adjustment is useful in other race cars, for example: Nascar, Le Man, S2000 and others. Further use is possible in the higher class car. This improvement of cooling the brake discs is also envisaged in sectors such as road transport, railway transport and also in aviation.
The theoretical part deals with the properties of materials for the manufacture of brake discs. In the experimental part the test results of the brake disc. Based on the evaluation results of the tests showed that the GCS treatment is very beneficial in terms of surface and material stability of the contact surfaces of the brake disc.
