Abstract

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to find out what fringe benefits employees used to utilize and which are now being utilized or what benefits they would appreciate as a motivation. I also turned my attention to how the benefits influence their efficiency and how we could optimize current motivating system. In my thesis I am working with data from the HP Trend firm, s.r.o. in Ludgeřovice near Ostrava. In the period of economic crisis this company was also compelled to curb or cancel some of their fringe benefits. My thesis is divided into three parts: theoretical part, practical part and part including proposals and recommendations. In the theoretical part there are definitions of motivations, employees´ expectations, what exactly can motivate the employees in a positive way. And also various fringe benefits and their taxations for both employers and employees are included. Information were derived mostly from monographic publications and web sites. Also I would like to familiarize you with HP Trend Firm, s.r.o., what is company engaged in, what fringe benefits used to offered or which are offered recently. The practical part inquires into favourite benefits, the most used ones, the least used ones and also benefits employees would never use. All these information were obtained by means of questionnaires. The conclusion will contain of a proposal for optimizing motivating system for employees and recommendation for management of the company.
