Abstract

Diploma thesis, supervisor: doc. Ing. Jiří Fries, Ph.D. The thesis deals with the design of a Roots compressor. The introduction describes the possibilities of supercharging an internal combustion engine. Based on the requirements of the client and with regard to the need to preserve the originality of historic vehicles, the most suitable option was selected, namely preserving the original solution with modification to a specific gasoline engine. This is further specifically described and evaluated. The design proposal follows, which also includes the design of new blowers. A frequency strength check is also processed. The complete proposal includes drawing documentation and a 3D model.
