Abstract
This thesis deals with the determination of thermal balance of pusher furnace, which serves for reheating of square cross section continuously cast blanks before subsequent rolling into wire rod mill.
In the first part focuses on the analysis of the problems in theoretical. It describes the different types of industrial furnaces used to heat billets, summarizes the most important features and provides technical parameters. Aspects of metals heating are listed in the following text.
The theoretical part is concluded by an analysis determining the heat balance of the furnace according to CSN 06 3010, listing energy flows on the revenue side as well as vending and especially mathematical relationships that are necessary for this calculation.
The thesis is concluded with a description of operating measurement that was carried out in cooperation with the staff of the Department of Thermal Engineering VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava. There is shown a method of obtaining traffic data of which are subsequently determined main pusher furnace technical indicators of thermal work including the calculated efficiency. The possible ways to improve operating parameters of the furnace are also suggested in this part.
