Abstract

The content of this thesis is targeted to the concept of quality management systems in higher education. The first part outlines the basic principles and concepts of quality management systems with a focus on ISO 9000, TQM and EFQM, their development and implementation modalities. The second part describes management tools support the process management concepts, including the company standards. The third chapter is an analysis of the applied methods of quality management system implemented in three public and one private university and their subsequent use while process control. To the analysis follows a critical comparison of approaches implemented within the quality management system. The next section describes how to create a system of tools for collecting, storing, searching and processing information from questionnaires in order to deliver them. In the final part I deal with creating a structure for self-assessment process indicators and comprehensive assessment of the quality management system. Chapter presents a system of performance indicators of organization and the basis for systematic benchmarking of educational institutions.
