Trefil, Ph.D. The diploma thesis topic is interested in the comparison of technology for the production of Kaplan blade using barrel milling cutter. The theoretical part of the thesis specifies tools, their parameters, and the use of CAD/CAM software while production, supplemented by surface roughness. The main goal of the thesis is to compare the measured parameters in experimental machining among the mentioned tools. The conclusion of the thesis focuses on the evaluation of the efficiency and economic factor of the process when using a barrel milling cutter. It is assumed to reach the same or better parameter values during the use of the barrel milling cutter. Higher efficiency is achieved when using a barrel milling cutter at the same time while maintaining a surface roughness at significantly lower production time.
