Abstract

The thesis deals with the design and optimization of die forging production technology under the conditions of FERRUM FORM, Ltd. The work includes a description of the basic principles of process design, die design, the solution of upsetting operations, and the control of material flow during forming. The main part of the thesis focuses on designing the production technology for a „positioning gear wheel“ with teeth, without subsequent machining of the functional surfaces. A separate task was the forging of the “stone” component, for which several variants of the forging technology were proposed and subsequently subjected to technical and economic evaluation. The results confirm that optimization of the technology and an appropriate choice of the production process have a fundamental impact on production efficiency.
