Abstract
Master thesis is dealing with the actual engagement coefficients of the modified involute gearing. The introduction is devoted to the research and about the issues related to the engagement factors, where we explain their meaning. Next, we describe the contact lines along with the total length of the contact line, where we discuss the difference for straight and helical gearing. Since we are dealing with microgeometrically modified gearing in this paper, we will say what types of modifications we have, the reason and factors why they are used. In the next section we will discuss the evaluation of the shot marks, as per the CSN standard. The main part of the thesis is devoted to the procedure of finding the real engagement coefficients. We will show the model creation in parts, when we then move to the Ansys software. Here we will go through the setup of all boundary conditions, the analysis and the subsequent dimensioning. We conclude the paper by evaluating the results and describing the realistic engagement factors for different modification sizes and variable loads.
