Abstract
Along with climate change, resources tightening and accelerating deterioration of the human environment, a series of research subjects relating to how to reach sustainable development, which implies meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs that is becoming the researching focus of scholars. In September 2015, the 193 member states of the United Nations formally adopt 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) at the summit. SDGs have become an emerging focal point in academia. The scholars in economics, management, law and ethics have done a lot of in-depth studies on this issue in the context of resources shortening, environmental pollution and ecological deterioration, discussing whether and how corporations can play a part in achieving coordinate and sustainable development of economy, society, environment, resources and energy is the essential characteristic of these studies.
As the largest single sector in the manufacturing industry, the automobile industry means a great deal of importance to nations economy. On the one hand, in the manufacturing and using phase, the automobile industry or car means a big burden on the environment; on the other hand, due to the fact that industry chain of the automobile industry is very long that exerts great influence on national economy. Therefore, this dissertation thesis will systematically analyze the implementation of SDGs in developed countries from the demisions of society, economy and environment by reviewing and analyzing the factors affecting the sustainable development of automobile corporations in developed countries, in order to answer the questions that whether the coordinated development of automobile corporations can be realized through the implementation of sustainable development strategy, and providing the suggestions for Chinese automobile corporations to implement SDGs.
