Řešení problematiky promíchávání newtonské látky s vysoce viskózní látkou s využitím numerického modelování

Abstract

The topic of master thesis has been provided by Hydrosystem project a.s. The thesis deals with the problematics of mixing two different substances (highly viscous non-Newtonian substance and Newtonian liquid - water) inside of piping with static mixers. The first part of the thesis is focused on description of different types of static mixers and on brief characterization of dynamic mixers. After that, its focus shifts onto description and specification of physical properties of substances and mixtures (density and viscosity). The main section of the thesis consists of definition of mathematical model of mixture flow (highly viscous liquid and non-Newtonian liquid) and subsequent application of mathematical model on different variants of model with static mixers (helical static mixer and static paddle mixer Blade). Numerical calculations and subsequent analysis of results have been realized with the use of ANSYS FLUENT.
