Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the design of a lifting device for wheelchairs to be used in railway vehicles. The aim is to develop a simple, safe, and reliable mechanism that facilitates boarding trains for people with reduced mobility. The introductory part includes a technical research of existing solutions, drive systems, and the main components of similar devices. The design section contains the calculation of the scissor mechanism and checks of selected components. The work also involves the selection of a suitable drive system, power supply, and control design. Finally, a 3D model created in Autodesk Inventor is presented along with a description of the individual parts of the device. The appendices include the assembly drawing of the entire device and detailed drawings of key structural parts.
