Abstract
Master thesis is dealing with engineering design of hydraulic hand saw used in underground mines. The introductory section presents a possible solution to the frame structure. On the basis of specified requirements has been chosen constructing three-disc saws. The basic design is a sheet metal blank from which the frame is welded. The geometry of the saw was designed with low weight and minimal dimensions. The final model passed the FEM analysis in Autodesk Inventor. Use hand saws for cutting circular cross-sections to maximum size of 200 mm. Hydraulic saw qualifies for use in hazardous atmospheric conditions of underground mines.
