Abstract
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of a bulk fraction storage tank with the possibility of automatic dosing. The theoretical part describes the basic properties of bulk materials, their behavior during storage and possible problems during the discharge of storage tanks. It also presents the basic types of storage tanks, their structural parts and possible ways of improving the flow of bulk material.
The practical part of the thesis is focused on the design of several conceptual solutions for the dosing device. The individual variants are compared and, based on selected criteria, the final solution is chosen. The selected variant is then further developed in terms of construction, including the design of the main components, drive system, control system and material level sensing. The thesis also includes basic calculations required to verify the proposed solution.
The result of the thesis is a structural design of a storage tank with a dosing mechanism that enables automatic dosing of the selected bulk fraction.
