Abstract

This thesis deals with design problems of Cooling Bed for thick plates with regard to cooling performance and a proposal of critical node. The structural design is based on input from the input parameters. At the beginning of the first part describes the possibility of increasing the capacity of the rolling mill and associated with the performance and size of the the cooling beds. Further calculation is carried out performance of cooling and design of cooling bed section. In the second part is a selection suport of disc shafts as a critical node with regard to heat stress. Selected and justified by appropriate design solution and perform the calculation of life of the bearings. At the end are mentioned recommendations for operation and maintenance of the equipment including safety and environmental aspects. In conclusion, the thesis are evaluates advantages and disadvantages of that designed solution.
