Abstract
This master thesis deals with the metal 3D printing and its relation to mechanical properties and porosity. The theoretical part focuses on the brief introduction to additive production and selective laser melting technology. The following is a detailed analysis of the influence of SLM process parameters on microstructure, porosity and mechanical properties of manufactured parts. The introduction of the practical part gives a brief description of the production facility, the properties of the powdered metal, and the production of test samples using two different strategies. In the end, the thesis is devoted to to the tensile test and the evaluation of the obtained results.
