Resume

The bachelor thesis is focused on the education and development of employees of the Employment office of Ostrava. The thesis itself consists of four main parts, excluding the introduction and the conclusion.

The first part introduces a brief characterization of evolvement of human resources who are employed by the Employment office of Ostrava. Both a theoretical base, a meaning, aims, forms, principles and methods of professional development are specified as important components of an adult education and a lifetime education respectively.

The second and third part provides a description of the aforesaid organization. It brings analysis of the current system of edification in the Employment office of Ostrava, its basic form of initial edification, both preliminary and follow-up, and the system of further education guaranteed by edification centres. The thesis also quantifies fulfilment of annual aims as well as of the usage of some of the education methods.

The comparison of the theoretical basis with reality enabled to form topics for potential improvements of the above-mentioned organization in the field of employees’ development.
