Abstract

The graduation thesis deals with the design of the pulse device for measuring the "stand" of the characteristics of turbochargers. This device is designed for company Garrett Advacing Motion located Brno. Currently, the company is testing this turbocharger only for the case of the isobaric conditions using a burner, which does not correspond to the actual operation. This device is intended to simulate the conditions of the engine, and this would get the testing of the power of the turbochargers closer to the actual use in the automotive industry. In the thesis are explained the principles of engines, methods of supercharging and the effect of the engine on the behavior of the turbocharger power. Subsequently, there is described the measuring "stand", where measurements are performed. The practical part deals with the constructive design of the pulse device. This device is designed in Autodesk Inventor Profesional program. The last part of the thesis deals with the design of a method of measuring the pressure pulsation.
