Abstract
The bachelor thesis describes and compares current and new technology for machining of board paneling of mining hoists drums which is performed by INCO engineering, s.r.o. The new technology uses a synthetic material alkamid. It´s properties are significantly different compared to wood that is a traditional and to this day the most frequently used material. There is no significant diference in technological orders between technologies. Alkamid is roughly a three times more expensive material than wood and costs
for assembly grow by c. 20 % to 30 %. Assumed durability of alkamid paneling compared to a wooden one is approximately threefold. Compared to beech, application of alkamid during paneling replacement saves c. 1,5 mil. CZK (almost 50 %) during 40 years.
