Abstract
Diploma thesis deals with methods of machining ends of aluminum tubes which will be welded into an assembly of a bicycle frame. The first part introduces specifications of machined material of aluminium alloys intended for bicycle frames, marking of the material, composition of a bike frame, welding methods and an overview of used machining technologies. The second part contains an analysis of existing technology in a company producing bicycles and design of new technologies suitable for adaptation of tubes. At the end the thesis mentions technical-economic appreciation and analyses results of comparison in order to assess advantages and efficiencies of selected machining methods.
