Abstract

This thesis deals with the topic of organic agriculture. The organic agriculture contributes to continuous sustainable development of the human society and of the environment. In the introduction there are described principles of the organic agriculture. Afterwards legislation with explanation of basic terms, methods of inspection and marking of organic production follow. The thesis also deals with the development and current situation of the organic farming in the Czech Republic. Further is described one chosen organic farm in Třinec town and some more options for further development on this farm and in all the Czech Republic are proposed. In the conclusion there is the questionnaire for inhabitants of Třinec to survey the degree of knowledge about this issue.
