Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to explore the possibilities of procedural content generation within Unreal
Engine 5 and to demonstrate how built-in tools, the C++ API, and visual scripting can be combined
to create custom systems. The thesis focuses particularly on terrain generation, object placement,
and 3D model creation. Although Unreal Engine 5 provides extensive support for procedural tech-
niques, some specific requirements still necessitate the implementation of custom solutions, which
is also one of the main topics of this thesis. The outcome includes recommendations for develop-
ers who wish to integrate procedural generation into their projects, along with an overview of the
challenges and opportunities associated with this approach.
