Abstract

The Master thesis is engaging the matters of managing artistic employees and ensuring their artistic motivation in Janacek Philharmony Ostrava. The aim of the thesis was to find out specific ways of managing the artistic company and to confront the artistic ways with the knowledge and methods of the modern management. Another aim was to examine the aspects contributing to developmental motivation of artistic employees. The method of thesemi-structured interview and the critical incident technique was used for the analysis. The analysis has shown the ways of managing artistic employees and their developmental motivation provided in Janácek Philharmony Ostrava. On the base of the analysis, the summary of suggestions for management was made.
