Abstract

This thesis provides guidance on the welding of pressure vessels made of austenitic steels, in particular the way of qualification of the welding process. In the first part of a general analysis is made of austenitic material from the viewpoint of weldability and problems encountered in welding. The second part describes a welding method suitable for the type of material. It also includes the effect of various aspects influencing the welding process. In another part of the analysis is performed more basic and auxiliary materials, enabling them to ensure the expected suitability of materials for welding. The result of the implementation and evaluation of welding tests, the final protocol, which allows the production of pressure vessel approved welding procedure.
