Abstract

BEČICA, O. Mechanical Properties Welding Joints for Steel 7CrMoVTiB10-10. Ostrava: Department of Mechanical Technology - 345, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, VŠB – TU Ostrava, 2009. Master Thesis Supervisor: doc. Ing. Ivo Hlavatý, Ph.D This master thesis deals with weldability of Cor-Ten creep-resisting steel T24, provides analysis of dispersive particles, and consequent mechanical properties of welded joints. The introduction describes the use and principle of creep-resistance of the new T24 steel. The issue of weldability is further discussed together with analyses of dispersive particles and the proposal of welded tubes' joints including the suggestion of optimal welding parametres. Furthermore, the optimal thermal processing leading to the best possible mechanical performance of welded joints is drafted. The conclusion of the thesis addresses the outcomes of analysis of welded joints from the point of weldability, optimal structure certified by metallographical analysis and hardness tests.
