Abstract
This thesis deals with the possibilities of productive milling in mass production. The introduction describes in general, milling technology itself, and furthermore, factors which lead to an increase in work productivity.
The aim of the experimental part of the thesis is to compare machining times for single, dual and 3-spindle vertical milling machines from the company Chiron. For each of the machines, the machining times needed for milling a single part in reality, were compared, for when each machine had 4 or 8 parts clamped on the work table.
