Abstract
The Master's thesis is dealing with an innovative approach to the design of a conformal cooling heat sink intended for LPBF additive manufacturing. The thesis describes the process from initial CAD design to the generation of complex lattice structures using implicit modeling in the nTop environment. The internal volume of the channel is filled with optimized TPMS cells (Gyroid and Diamond), which are smoothly oriented along the flow path to minimize pressure losses. The thesis includes a numerical CFD simulation of the cooling medium's behavior, the results of which demonstrate differences in the hydraulic resistance of both structures. The primary contribution of this work lies in validating that such complex internal structures can be effectively utilized to improve cooling system efficiency. Practical outcomes include manufacturing-ready digital files and a functional heat exchanger prototype 3D-printed from a lightweight aluminum alloy, demonstrating the practical viability of the overall concept.
