Abstract

The diploma thesis focuses on the design of a device for clamping and rotating steel profiles, serving as an extension to CNC cutting machines. The introductory research section provides a brief overview of one of these machines, along with the technologies to be used for profile cutting. This is followed by a description of the device currently used by the company commissioning this work. After presenting examples of devices available on the market and categorizing them, the research is concluded with a proposal for possible variants of addressing the issue. The construction part of the thesis describes in detail the composition and function of individual components of the proposed device. Verification of this design is conducted through strength calculations and simulations. In the conclusion of the thesis, the workflow during profile clamping is demonstrated.
