Hereinafter, the issue of electronic forms of evidence and new trends in the field of documentation of buildings. The theme will also address the concept of updating and timeliness of data. The aim of this work is to describe the type of documentation structures that are necessary to ensure the operation and use of the apartment building. As well as their purpose, evidence, preservation methods and timeliness of data documentation. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical. The theoretical section describes the basic concepts related to residential buildings, forms of ownership housing portfolio and description of the documentation needed to ensure the operation and use of an apartment building - sort of documentation, their usage patterns, reasons for filing, documentation purposes, the possibility of storing and archiving. In the practical part there are different kinds of documentation selected for the particular selected object apartment building.
