Abstract

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the design of a spare parts inventory management system within the company Model Obaly a.s. The primary objective was to propose minimum inventory levels and optimal order quantities for spare parts. The theoretical section defines fundamental concepts in the field of maintenance and addresses the principles and challenges of inventory management. In the practical part, the company and its maintenance management approach are first briefly described, followed by classification analyses based on historical consumption data to identify critical parts and components required for permanent stocking. For this set of spare parts, management rules—specifically the reorder point and order quantities—were subsequently established. The final section provides an evaluation of the proposed solution and a comparison with the initial state.
