Abstract

Master's thesis focuses on the design and implementation of a telemetry data acquisition system for a Formula Student single-seater vehicle. The aim of the study was to identify key parameters for monitoring, select appropriate sensors for their logging, collect data during real-world testing, analyze the data, and demonstrate the benefits of data engineering. Throughout this work, a full telemetry system was completed, implemented in the single-seater, and tested under real conditions on a racetrack. The significant contribution of this thesis is the acquisition of detailed data from the vehicle's operation, which enabled a deeper understanding of the dynamics of driving and the performance of the driver. The work contributes to a better understanding and utilization of data engineering in motorsport, providing the team with valuable insights for further research and technical development of future vehicles.
