Abstract

ANNOTATION OF BACHELOR THESIS The aim of this work is to „Design and implementation of transport of oversize loads of freight from the manufacturer to the customer”. The manufacturer is INEKON GROUP Ostrava-Martinov and the customer is WMATA transport company depot in Washington DC, USA. When transporting oversize shipments the carrier must comply with many regulations. First, we classify the load and the dimensions we choose the mode of transport for the practical implementation has been chosen by two modes of transport and road and water. The following is a selection of means of transport. Then comes the most important and challenging process of planning and transport routes. The final section summarizes the costs associated with transport of oversize loads of cargo.
