Diskriminace na trhu práce v České republice

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with discrimination in the labour market in the Czech Republic, focusing on people aged 50 and over. The aim of the thesis is to analyse whether and to what extent this age group encounters discriminatory behavior in the labour market. The theoretical part defines the definition of concepts related to the labour market, employment, unemployment and discrimination, including its legislative regulation. The practical part focuses on quantitative research, based on a questionnaire survey among people aged 50 and over. The results show that respondents encounter discrimination and often perceive a lack of awareness of how to effectively protect themselves against discrimination and who to turn to if necessary. Based on the findings, measures are proposed to reduce discrimination and improve the position of people aged 50 and over in the labour market.
