Abstract
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design and implementation of an interactive application for the calculation of theoretical braking and braking distances according to the requirements of ČSN EN 14531-2 a ČSN EN 14531-1+A1. The introduction compares the available types of brakes and brake devices that appear on most conventional rail vehicles, as well as their functionality and applications. Based on the procedure according to the requirements of standarts, an algorithm of theoretical stepwise calculation of braking, braking distances and other calculations necessary for the assessment of braking of a train set is proposed. The proposed algorithm is implemented in the form of an interactive application in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. According to the requirements of standarts, the subsequently created interactive application is used to determine the braking and braking distances when the input parameters change. The created interactive application is documented in the enclosure of the bachelor's thesis.
