Abstract

The aim of this thesis was to make numerical solution (strength and deformation analysis) and to compare three design proposals of external fixators for treatment of open and unstable fractures of pelvis and acetabulum of Prospon s.r.o., Medin a.s. companies and VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. Thesis is possible to divide into first part dealing with bones anatomy in pelvis area and theirs fractures, overview of fixation systems and ways of treatment pelvis and acetabulum. In the second part, chapters deal with own, numerical solution with help of Finite Elements Method. There are in details described design proposals, properties of used materials and boundary conditions, followed by results of static analysis of individual design proposals, theirs overviews, comparison and evaluation. This diploma thesis was solved as part of projects of FR-TI3/818 - „External Fixation“ and TA03010804 - „Osteosynthesis of Leg and Arm Fractures“.
