Abstract
Environmental considerations in surface treatments of steel products, is today a very important aspect. The development of coatings is continually improved, and is focused primarily on environmental considerations already mentioned, ie. the lowest evaporation of volatile organic compounds into the atmosphere, reducing of the thickness of the coating, which reduces paint consumption and overall costs. Application of waterborne coatings systems based on alkyd is a good solution to secure these basic requirements for short-term anticorrosion protection of steel products. Alteration of the properties of coatings and that increase the effectiveness of anticorrosion protection can be done
by adding the anti-corrosive pigments. Today commonly used non-toxic anticorrosive pigment is zinc phosphate.
Within the experimental works was developed coating paint based on alkyd resins with a minimum content of VOC. The coating paint is used for short-term protection of steel substrate in the thickness of thin layers to the 80 μm. Dissertation thesis deals the study of adhesion coating paint based on alkyd res into the surface of substrate of standard test material with brushed surface. The thesis also deals of corrosion resistance of the coating paint based on alkyd resin when to increase corrosion resistance of the coating paint were added particles of zinc phosphate anticorrosive pigments in micro and nano scale.
