WOLF, K. Draft Geometry Inserts for Finish Turning: Bachelor Thesis.Ostrava: Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, 2014. p. 41. Thesis head: doc. Ing. Vladimír Vrba, CSc. Bachelor thesis is focused on the curvature of the cutting edges of the inserts (VBD). The contracting autority of the project is Pramet Tools s. r. o.. This work presents the theory of the tool wear. The theory is followed by proposals of the design of the cutting edge.Subsequently, four proposed inserts are then tested for durability in service Pramet Tools s. r. o..Test results demonstrate the effect of the cutting edge on the durability.
