Abstract

Bachelor thesis deals with the strength and stiffness analysis and shape optimization of rear axletree differential carrier of truck 290S84. The introduction describes the finite element method. Emphasis is placed on analysis analysis of tetrahedron element. Then it explains the device – differential, analysis of boundary conditions and loads, which are used in strength calculations. The analysis is performed using the finite element in software ANSYS Workbench 13.0. It is an evaluation and determination of critical stress points. Change of geometry was proposed. It achieved a weight reduction of 30% and maximum stress by 20%. The stiffness was increased by 27%.
