Abstract
The thesis determines suitable cutting conditions for machining EA1N steels. In the introductory chapter the necessary information for the practical part is described. After an introduction to the principles of high-speed machining and other aspects, the next chapter describes the execution of an accompanying test for machining EA1N material with replaceable cutting ceramic inserts. The initial test is evaluated and then cutting conditions and tooling for the main test and any future tests are recommended. The machining sequence of the main test shall be described according to the cutting conditions used. In the next part, the individual criteria are evaluated, which are tool wear, roughness of the machined surface and chip breakage. The roughness of the machined surface Ra is measured during machining according to the individual sections. By evaluating the criteria, it is determined whether ceramic cutting tools can be used for machining EA1N material and what are the suitable cutting conditions that have been experimentally determined. Finally, an economic evaluation according to the described factors is made, ending with a final economic evaluation. Finally, the findings, values and recommendations are summarized.
