Design modulárního paravanu

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the design and realization of a functional prototype of a modular acoustic paravan made from recycled polyurethane foam sourced from automotive seats or mattresses. The introductory part is dedicated to research on current acoustic elements and the properties of polyurethane foams in the context of cascade recycling. The experimental section documents the search for an optimal mixture recipe and the technological process for pressing panels with a plastic relief. Based on ergonomic studies, a modular system was designed using neodymium magnets and beech dowels for easy reconfiguration without the need for tools. The final design is presented in the form of technical documentation, spatial visualizations in an office interior, and a physical prototype.
